The Measure A Transportation Sales Tax Expenditure Plan called for a Strategic Plan to provide a 20-year outlook on how local transportation sales will be allocated in the context of anticipated demands, timing, and other available revenues. It serves as the overall roadmap for programming Measure A funds to the four strategies, as identified and approved by Marin voters in the Measure A Expenditure Plan. The Strategic Plan was initially adopted in June 2006 and subsequently updated annually.
On May 19, 2014, TAM released its 2016 Strategic Plan Update for a 45-day public review and comment period.
The 2016 Strategic Plan Update includes updates on the entire document, including the Revenue and Expenditure worksheet for each of the Strategies identified in the Transportation Sales Tax Expenditure Plan.
July 3, 2016 officially signifies the end of the 45-day comment period. The TAM Board is scheduled to conditionally adopt the 2016 Strategic Plan Update on June 23, 2016, provided that any public comments received by July 3rd are adequately addressed and do not substantially alter the Strategic Plan. If public comments received between May 19 and July 3 cannot be addressed adequately by staff, the 2016 Strategic Plan Update will be returned to the TAM Board for further review.
TAM will hold a public hearing for the public to provide comments on the 2014 Strategic Plan Update on June 23, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Marin County Civic Center, Board of Supervisors Chambers (Room 330), at which time any and all persons interested in this matter may appear and be heard.
In addition, written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. July 3, 2016. Comments should be forwarded to David Chan at email@example.com or mailed to: Transportation Authority of Marin, 900 Fifth Avenue, Suite 100, San Rafael, CA 94901.
