Technical Advisory Committee

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is charged with making recommendations to TAM on the prioritization of certain investments as described in TAM's Measure A half-cent Transportation Sales Tax Expenditure Plan and to undertake other technical reviews as requested by the TAM Board of Commissioners.

Members of the Technical Advisory Committee include representatives from and nominated by the following:

Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (1 member)
Marin County Paratransit Coordinating Council - representing seniors and persons with disabilities (1 member)

TAM IS LOOKING FOR APPLICANTS TO FOR THE TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Applications are being accepted for vacancies on the Transportation Authority of Marin's Technical Advisory Committee (TAC),  a group whose purpose is to provide advice on the prioritization of infrastructure improvements in the Measure A Sales Tax Expenditure Plan and make recommendations to the Authority.

Specifically, the responsibilities of this committee are:

• Adhere to guidelines incorporated into Marin County Transportation Sales Tax Expenditure Plan dated May 6, 2004.
• Prioritize major roadway and infrastructure projects in joint effort with the Public Works Directors of each City, Town, and the County.
• Assess the school-related strategy of the Marin County Transportation Sales Tax Expenditure Plan every two years through a public process involving parents, school officials, and students throughout the County.
• Undertake other technical review as requested by the TAM Commission.

All administration of committee activities are provided by TAM at the direction of the committee.
