Central/Southern Marin Transit Study


The Draft Final Report was presented to the TAM Board of Commissioners for acceptance at the June 25 meeting.  Due to the size of this document it has been separated into three parts: the Draft Final Report, Appendix 1 - the Existing Conditions Analysis Report, and Appendix 2 - the Streetcar Feasibility Discussion.

TAM held a workshop at 6:00 p.m. on March 26, 2009 to provide an opportunity for stakeholders and the public to review and comment on the draft findings of the Central/Southern Marin Transit Study.  Click here to move to the Workshop Announcement page where you can view a pdf of the display boards and / or print out a comment card.


The Central/Southern Marin Transit Study examined Highway 101 trunk line bus service, its local connecting service and the procedures and facilities that connect them.  As a separately funded adjunct to the study, a feasibility analysis of streetcar service between Sausalito and Mill Valley was also conducted.  The Technical Advisory Committee for this study met on October 30, 2008.

The Existing Conditions Analysis Report Draft, dated December 23, 2008, was presented to TAM's Executive Committee at their meeting of January 12, 2009.    Due to the size of this document, it has been posted in three segments for ease of viewing.
