Central/Southern Marin Transit Study
To improve Marin Transit bus service on Highway 101 and identify opportunities for better connections to the ferry and regional commuter bus service, TAM prepared the 2009 Central/Southern Marin Transit Study. This study examines Highway 101 trunk line bus service, local connecting service and the procedures and facilities that connect these services. The report identified a number of near term and longer term recommendations for consideration for transit improvements, including an assessment of the feasibility of a streetcar service in the Mill Valley to Sausalito Area.
TAM’s study partners, Golden Gate Transit and Marin Transit shared in the funding of this study, as did the cities of Mill Valley and Sausalito.
