In September, the TAM Board will consider appointing Anne Richman as the new Executive Director
The Transportation Authority of Marin is pleased to announce they are nearing completion of the recruitment process for TAM’s new Executive Director. Long time TAM Executive Director Dianne Steinhauser is retiring from the agency this fall after 14 years of service and TAM has successfully recruited a new Executive Director.
TAM’s September 26 Board of Commissioners draft agenda includes an item to consider the approval of a contract appointing Anne Richman as Executive Director. Anne currently serves as the Director of Programming and Allocations with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. Pending approval, Anne will arrive at TAM with nearly 20 years of relevant transportation experience, with over 12 years of experience with MTC, and 7 years with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency. She currently manages over $1 billion dollars annually in regional, state and federal funding for the Bay Area, overseeing 23 staff. She has diverse experience in policy development, project and program development, and long-range planning, including the assessment of impacts from legislation and overseeing consultants and vendors. She excels in forging strong partnerships and building consensus with stakeholders. She works very effectively with MTC’s citizen’s advisory groups, with local and regional advocacy organizations, and members of the public. She is well respected amongst the cities, counties, and transit operators around the Bay Area.
Anne is looking forward to serving the TAM Board to deliver the diverse workload of TAM and work effectively with TAM’s many partners in Marin.
