Dennis Rodoni was born and raised in Marin County where his family has resided for over four generations.  Dennis and his wife Judy have two daughters and two wonderful grandchildren and have lived in Olema for over twenty years.

Dennis attended Inverness School, West Marin School, Tomales High School and Chico State University where he earned an honors degree in economics.  Now 64, he has worked as a local high school teacher and for over 30 years as an infill homebuilder and custom-home remodeler in Marin County. 

Dennis is an elected director of the North Marin Water District. He was first elected in 1995 and since then his constituents have re-elected him five times. Additionally, he has served on the boards of the following community and governmental organizations:

  • Vice President and Design Review Chair of the Point Reyes Village Association
  • President of Marin County Special Districts Association
  • Chairman of Point Reyes National Seashore Association
  • Chairman of the Coastal Health Alliance that serves all of West Marin
  • Chairman of West Marin Senior Services Assisted Living Facility Committee
  • Golden Gate National Recreation and Point Reyes National Seashore Advisory Committee
  • Member and Vice Chair, Marin County Local Agency Formation Committee
  • Chairman of the Sonoma County Water Advisory Committee for the Sonoma County Water Agency
  • Director and Treasurer of the Tomales Bay Association

For his service to the community, Dennis has received the following awards:

  • The “Mount Vision Award” from Coastal Health Alliance
  • The “West Marin Senior Services Award” for leadership on the Assisted Living Facility
  • The “Sis Arndt Award” for Protection of the Tomales Bay Watershed
  • The “Department of Interior Partners in Conservation Award” for the Giacomini Wetlands
